When it comes to guns, the cultural gulf between Japan and the
United States is as wide and deep as the ocean that separates the
two countries.
Americans are torn between two feelings about guns. One side
believes that owning guns is a basic Constitutional right as valuable
as life itself.
The other side believes that guns have become so widespread
and deadly that the law must change.
