Subject: It's nice to meet you.
Dear Jiro,
It's nice to meet you. Now I know someone from Japan. I have some
e-mail friends in Europe and Africa, but I didn't know anyone from Asia.
Yes, please come to New York. You can stay here with us. We can go and
see the sights and watch the Mets. I can also show you the old World Trade 5
Center. It's a very sad place, but you should go there to pray for peace.
My cousin Kevin and I often played together here in New York. Kevin's
name is White and mine is Green. Isn't that interesting? My mother is Kevin's
dad's sister, so she is Kevin's aunt. She was White, but now she's Green.
I like baseball, too, but here in America we have different sports in different 10
seasons. I play football in the fall, go skating and skiing in winter and play
baseball in spring. Do you know anything about American football? Kevin
can tell you almost everything about it.
Well, it's almost midnight, so I'm going to stop here. Write a good speech
and win that trip to America! Let's write again and let's meet here in New 15
York someday.
