日本語から、過去と過去完了はどうやって読み取るんですか？ 読み取るコツを教えてほしいです。

仮定法の問題です。中学生ですが高校の範囲なのでわかる方に教えて頂きたいです。書いてあるところもあっているか分からないので教えて欲しいです。

どんなときに現在完了形を使えばいいのかいまいちよく分かりません。教えていただきたいです。

2番の(5)と（7）は答えはif , had metとwho had wonになりますが、なぜ過去完了形になるんでしょうか？
