這臉色蒼白的人走起路來仿佛生病了。
O說話者認為這人很可能生病了,而這人也可能真的病了,故用直說法。
b. 若表示「不可能發生的事情」, as if 引導的子句用假設語氣。一。
•The child behaves as if he were an adult. 這小孩舉止仿佛他是大人。
小孩不是大人,故用與現在事實相反的假設語氣。

2. 注意本句型的動詞形態:
a. 主要子句與 as if 引導的子句為同一時間點發生的事情:S + V + as it + S+
- Were/Vised。
The lady dresses as if she were a queen. 這女士打扮的樣子仿佛她是女王。
Eric nodded as if he fully understood what the professor was talking about.
那時 Eric 點頭,仿佛他完全懂得教授說的事情。
b. as if 引導的子句比主要子句早發生或持續一段時間: S + V + as f+ S+ had + p.D.
• The driver smells as if he had drunk some wine.
這司機聞起來彷佛之前喝了酒。
