英文問題 may not be什麼意思 感覺題目詳解給錯了

第 48 至 51 題為題組 Many of us have probably experienced déjà vu at least a few times in our life. Its meaning comes from the phrase "already seen" in French, and occurs when we feel that a person, place, or thing is familiar to us without actually having experienced them before. This strange phenomenon happens to as much as 70 percent of the population, but a higher number of 15 to 25 year olds experience it than any other age group. Maybe you just travelled to a new foreign country, and it just felt very familiar to you. Yes, you are feeling déjà vu; however, you know you haven't been there before. While different people experience déjà vu in different ways, it is still a pretty mysterious phenomenon, and researchers are putting the pieces together. Based on some studies, déjà vu is just a part of having a healthy memory checking system, and people who experience déjà vu more often are less likely to forget the details of important events. In fact, the results of the study don't look too promising in terms of mental health for people who never experience déjà vu. Scientists believe déjà vu is created by a neurological anomaly related to an improper electrical discharge in the brain. In short, it's not a mystical prophecy or out-of-body experience, but just your brain playing a trick on you; that is, these scientists dismiss it as just a glitch in the matrix. A few people are just terrified when it happens, but others feel euphoric about it. On average, most people just find it to be a perplexing sensation, neither pleasant nor threatening. Since déjà vu occurs in individuals with and without a medical condition, there is much speculation as to how and why it happens. Several psychoanalysts attribute deja vu to simple fantasy or wish fulfillment, while some psychiatrists ascribe it to a mismatching in the brain that causes it to mistake the present for the past. Many parapsychologists believe it is related to a past-life experience. Obviously, there is more investigation and researches to be done. So, does this article seem very familiar to you? 48. Which of the following CAN'T be described as a déjà vu experience based on this passage? (A) You keep buying similar style of clothing and you don't know why. (B) You feel you've been to a place when actually it's your first time there. (C) Someone looks familiar to you though you have never seen him before. (D) You just met a new friend whom you think you must have met somewhere. 49. Based on the article, which description about déjà vu is WRONG? (A) It actually is not as harmful to our mental health as we think. (B) Some people who have experienced it may feel a sense of happiness. (C) The word"déjà vu" originates from France, meaning"already seen." (D) Those who never experience it may not be mentally healthier than those who do.

I knew that she felt embarrassed about having a big red zit on her face, especially when she was about to meet new friends and wanted to leave a good impression on them. B C 閱讀測驗1 There he flies, turns, lands and—to da- a disaster is saved, by Superman. “Come on,” you roll your eyes. “That's NOT real.” But admit it -we LOVE superman. Since the debut of the prototypical superhero Superman in 1938, stories of various superheroes have dominated American comic books and crossed over into such other media as films and animations. Versatile as these super characters may be, they do share certain traits. We know the double-life secret that Peter Parker is Spider-man, Bruce Wayne the Batman, and Clark Kent the Man of Steel. The secret identity has a civilian job while the “super-me” puts on an eye-catching costume, or custom-made accessories like Wonder Woman's bracelets. We are concerned that the bad guys play tricks so as to hurt these protectors. Fortunately enough, our superheroes normally have a base to go for “restoration” to. The Batcave has everything the Batman needs. Isn't that great? Furthermore, these super icons may have some backups and do not always have to work independently. The Fantastic Four or X-men team up as they have common origins or sponsors. These super teams are like a marvelous circle. Nevertheless, there are downsides being a superhero. Credits are not always given as the Batman and Spider-man meet with public skepticism or outright hostility. A superhero may even lose control as the Hulk has an issue with his violent alter ego. We love to see the superheroes think big and achieve big. They for sure reflect what we are and what we want to be. In summary, superheroes are popular and iconic because they each represent a large part of a society's traits and values. Everyone can relate to at least one hero and villain, because those heroes are designed to show the best parts of society, and the villains represent the worst parts. 5 What can we say about the author's tone? (A) Angry. (B) Formal. (C) Harsh. (D) Relaxed. 48 主题5 藝文世界

With financial aid purchasers of fair-trade products may help producers hire more adult workers, which can reduce he hiring of child labor. By paying more, they can also guarantee the safety of workplaces, and be farmers adopt eco-friendly fertilizers to protect the environment. However, although the fair trade system seems beneficial to farmers, and trades are on the increase, it actually leaves much room for criticism. For example, getting fair trade certification is expensive for small businesses and individual producers. They have to split their hard-earne money for being a fair trade member, which ends up being a burden for the poor producers that fair trade system originally urges to help. Such high administration fees inevitably lead to the result that products are sold at much higher prices which weigh on consumers. Hence, customer base around the world is limited, because not everyone is willing to pay extra fees when they can get products of the similar quality but with lower prices. Worst of all, the administration fees don't go to the suppliers but retailers. Although there are obvious advantages of fair trade system, its disadvantages are likely to form a vicious circle and may shrink the fair trade market, if the basic problem doesn't get tackled. 44 Which of the following is the best title for this passage?
