合っていると思います！「Mr.Doiがimportant thingを知った」という内容なので、大丈夫なのではないでしょうか。
ただ、knewと過去形で書いているところは原型のままでいいかなと思いました。Mr.Doiはその事を今も知っているので、過去形にする必要はないです。解答のfoundが原型になっているので見てみてください。それと同じ仕組みです。
説明分かりづらくてすみません💦私が間違っているかもしれないので、一応学校の先生や友達に聞いてみてください。。！
