①Can you imagine the speed at which the earth goes around the sun?

このwhichはthe speedを表しているので、which以下の文にthe speedを入れることができます。
ここではgoesのあとにthe speedを入れることができるのですが、goは自動詞のため前置詞が必要となります。そのため、状態のatをthe speedの前に入れます。

②も①と同じ構造で、appliesの後には前置詞toを入れる必要があるので答えは1となります。

※前置詞は基本的に後ろに名詞などを必要とするので、関係代名詞以下の文には入れず、前置詞＋関係代名詞の形にします。🙇‍♀️
