2行目のhave the ring ofをどのように訳したら良いのかわからないです。
それと、下から2行目のwhatを疑問形では無い形に直すとするとothers think something of themでしょうか？
教えて頂きたいです。🙇‍♀️

〜らしい（"もっともらしい"とかいうような言い回し）
〜っぽい・〜みがある（"真実味がある"みたいな）
というようなかんじで理解しています

whatの文ですが、
これは実は中学校で習ったりする疑問文
what do you think of〜？
「〜をどう思いますか？」
を、間接疑問文の形で使ってあげているだけなのです。

ただこの疑問文、解釈するのが非常に難しい文で
つい最近別の方もこの疑問文について質問していました。
そのときの、自分の回答を参考までに
画像で載せておきます。
いろいろ調べてみて答えてはいるのですが
正直自分でもあんまり納得いってません
