Do you think it is a good idea to use online maps?

Yes, I think so. I have two reasons. First, online maps do not take much space because we can watch them on the internet. Second, we can search a lot of places such as restaurants, malls, and so on. Paper maps can't do that.
Therefore, I think it's a good idea to use online maps.

① watchは動いているもの（テレビとか）に対して使われる動詞なので、地図の場合look at の方が好ましいです
② paper map's can't do thatとありますが、この文脈でいくと紙の地図が場所を検索することになりますが、実際に検索するのは私たちですので
we can't do that with paper maps にするか
前半を online maps show us a lot ...
にした方がいいと思います
