95 関係副詞の基本用法

関係副詞は先行詞と節をつなぐ接続詞の働きと副詞の働きを兼ねるもので、
where / when/why/how の4つがある。
「場所」を表す語が先行詞
先行詞が the city という「場所」を表す語で、()の後ろがyou (S)+
grew up (Ⅴ) の 「完全な文」なので、関係副詞の ④ where が正解。
Tell me about the city. + You grew up there (= in the city).

364 関係副詞 where と関係代名詞 which の使い分け
「場所」を表す語が先行詞であっても, 後ろが 「不完全な文」 の場合は関係代名
詞を用いる。 本間は他動詞 visit の目的語がない 「不完全な文」なので、
には目的格関係代名詞の ④ which が入る。
England is the country. + I've wanted to visit it for a long time.
England is the country which I've wanted to visit for a long time.
