問2はtasteに『趣味』という意味があり、have good taste で『いい趣味してるね』みたいな意味になります。(日本語のいい味出してるねぇ...と言った慣用表現に似てますね。)

また問7ですが、Gregは文章中で『すごい家を立てた方がいいぞ』と提案や主張はしていません。

しかし、16行目で映画に行くなら今出ないとね。といった表現があるので、わかりにくいですが時間を気にしていることがわかります。
