以下 thatの特別用法(thatしか使えない場合)
・先行詞が人とものの場合
Look at the girl and the dog that are resting under the tree.
・先行詞に最上級の形容詞が付く場合
This is the most touching movie that I have ever seen.
・先行詞に the firstなどの序数やthe onlyなどの限定語句が付く場合
This is the very watch that I have been looking for.
・先行詞にall, every, any, no, few, littleなどが付く場合
Is there anything that I can do for you?
・先行詞が疑問詞の who, whichの場合
Who that is honest tells such a lie?

・目的格の関係代名詞 whom(人)
Mary is an old friend. I've wanted to see her for a long time.
↓her(目的格)をwhomで置き換え
Mary is an old friend. I've wanted to see whom for a long time.
↓関係代名詞を文頭に出す
Mary is an old friend. whom I've wanted to see for a long time.
↓先行詞old friendの後ろに繋げる
Mary is an old friend whom I've wanted to see for a long time.

who、that、which、の使い分けはできるのですが、who、whom、whoseになるとよくわからなくなってしまいます。質問の仕方が悪かったですよね。すみません。教科書を見てもいまいち理解できなかったので…。もっと努力します。
