違っても知らないという無責任な回答です(笑)もう遅いかも知れませんが...
僕の名前はウィリアム ジョーンズです。家では母親以外僕のことをウィリアムと呼びません。母は怒っておるときにしかウィリアムと呼びません。みんな僕のことをビルと呼びます。ここ，日本でも名前を短くすることがあります。例えば，僕のホスト兄弟(？)の名前はゆうすけですが，僕たちはみなゆう君と呼びます。彼は最初の一文字が変わることに驚いていました。彼はこうききました。どうしてW(ウィリアム)からB(ビル)になるんだ？誰にもこんなことは聞かれたことがありません。僕も本当に知らない！

この昼，僕のホストファミリーが僕を桜の木をみせにきてくれました。アメリカではこのような習慣はありません。チェリー(さくらんぼ)ときいたときは花ではなく果物のことだと思いました。僕はさくらんぼ狩りに行くのだと思っていました。僕のホストマザー(？？)は僕らのためにピクニックのお弁当をつくり，公園へいきました。僕らは桜の木の下で弁当を食べました。風がふいたときさくらんぼが雪のように地面に落ちました。公園はとても混雑していましたが，みんなよい時を過ごしました。
