Not until doctors have completed their internships (can they begin) to practice medicine as a profession.

I didn't realize I had lost it until I went to.

この二つの文を見て、Not until 倒置系とnot ... until~は違うものなのかなと疑問に思いました

not.., untilの後が倒置系にならないのは何でなのですか？？

否定語もしくは、否定の副詞節が文頭に来た時、倒置が起こります。
２文目は文頭が否定語ではないですね。
