おそらくIt is becauseよりもThis is becauseの方がいいですね。Thisはその前に述べた文を指すことになります。

It can do many things. や　It can LINE.ですが、この文章だと、スマホ自体がたくさんのことをすることになります。正しくは　スマホを"使って"、"私たちが"たくさんのことをすることができます。なので、We can do many things with it.がいいかなと思います。

それから、It can do many things. And it can LINE.とandで繋いでいますが、よりつき詰めるなら、many thingsの中に LINEをすることは含まれるので、
We can many things such as getting in touch with our friends with our cell phone.
の方が良さそうですね。

such as 〜: 〜などのように、（例を挙げる時に使う）

また、cell phoneのとこをitで代名詞にしていますが、itを使うと、"私が持っている"スマホ、みたいに限定的になってしまいます。みんながもつ特定ではないスマホを指すなら、oneを使うといいですよ。
