　よって訳は「英語を話す7歳の子供達に頭の中で37と22を足してと頼みなさい、そうすると、彼らはその言葉を数字に変換しなければなりません。」となります。
もしくは少し意訳して、
「英語を話す7歳の子供達に37+22を暗算するように頼むと、彼らはその言葉を数字に変換しなければなりません。」でもいいと思います。
