1はalmostですから後ろにallなどの形容詞がつけば意味が通りますが、後ろが名詞では意味が通りませんね。
2.4は自分でも気づいているかもしれませんが、なんか単純に変ですね。
ここは、most 名詞=「ほとんどの〜は」という知識を利用するものです。

腑に落ちない雑な説明かもしれませんが、この手の問題はある程度インプット量を増やしましょう。あとはそれぞれの品詞を考えてあげれば自ずと変か変じゃないかは慣れてくると思いますよ。
