①で気になった点なんですけど、
一番最初に "学生は雨の日は家で本を読むべきだ"って言っているのに後から"本を読むのはそんなに必要では無い"って言ってるのが ん？？ってなりました。

私が考えるとしたら、
I think play outside is better than reading books.
Playing outside is good for our health.
But when if it rains day, I think students should read books.

なんか変だなーって思ったらとりあえず言いたいことを紙に書いて、それを訳す感じで英語にしてったら割といい感じの文章になるんじゃないかなと思います！
接続詞もあるだけで文章のつながりが出てくるので読みやすくなりますよ
