1(3)は、とにかく抜き出す部分が間違ってます。
themselvesになっているので、チンパンジー自身をcleanにするということです。もう１つ後ろの文を見てみましょう！

1(2)は、まずtheyはダメじゃない？文型でいうとＯになっているよね？あとfirstは無くてもいいんじゃないかな。

1(4)と(5)はよさそうな感じです。
