ちなみに、設問1は質問の疑問詞に合わせた回答をしましょう!

そうすれば、ムダな単語を書かなくてもいいことや、
本文をそのまま抜き出すのではないこともわかります。

どうしてもわからず(うまく書けず)、
「本文のどの部分か」だけがわかったときは、
白紙にするよりはその部分を書き写した方がいいかも。

1(3)は、とにかく抜き出す部分が間違ってます。
themselvesになっているので、チンパンジー自身をcleanにするということです。もう1つ後ろの文を見てみましょう!

1(2)は、まずtheyはダメじゃない?文型でいうとOになっているよね?あとfirstは無くてもいいんじゃないかな。

1(4)と(5)はよさそうな感じです。
