→ young(若い)は「相対的な形容詞」(=全員共通の認識がない)なので、「30歳は若い」と考える人もいれば、「30歳はもう中年(?)」と感じる人もいます。従って、高校生であるあさんのように、「30歳はもう若くない」と感じても全然不思議はありません。

では、問題文の中では、年齢に関してはどのような表現が使われているのでしょうか?
第1段落2行目:an early age(若年齢)
第1段落5行目:When she turned 30(彼女が30歳になった時)
第4段落1行目:a young age(幼齢)/2行目:at the age of 90(90歳の時)
本文中に「30歳は若い」、あるいは「30歳はもう中年(?)」と判断する基準は見つかりましたか?
何もないですよね。では、どうすればいいのでしょうか?

世代(generation)という言葉があり、約30年で世代が変わるとよく言われます。
大雑把に言えば、0歳~30歳位:若年、30歳位~60歳位:中高年、60歳位以上:高齢 となります。
従って、30歳の時にnurses were thought to be like servants = jurses had a low status and were considered nothing more than servants ということから判断して、「30歳は若い」とみなして(6)〇 と言われても、文句はないのではないのかな~? という気がします。
このような文章を書く筆者は、0歳~30歳よりも30歳~60歳が圧倒的に多いと考えられます。
従って、上記のような、一般的な世代別分類が念頭にあるのではないでしょうか?
あさんが60歳になれば、「30歳は若い❣」と感じると思います。楽しみにしていてください。
