In Aomori in winter, the LED traffic lights are often
covered with snow, and people can't see them
properly. To solve this problem, local high school
5 students came up with an idea from lotus leaves.
Lotus leaves don't get very wet. Therefore, the
students thought this feature could prevent snow
from piling up on LED traffic lights.
