比較級の問題です！元の文の謝っている所を直すという問題です！（3）の 答えが the second best なのですが、なぜ best の前に the がいらないのですか？

This is the best recrd ～.「一番良い記録」
This is the second best recrd ～.「2番目に良い記録」
このように「2番目に、3番目に、、」を表すとき(second, third,,,)を最上級の前に置きます
the fastest runner
the second fastest runner
のように表します

問題の英文はsecondを置く所が間違っていて、最上級の前に置きます
This is the second best record I've ever held.
が正しいです
