①は問題ないです。簡単な表現を用いてミスなくかけてます。

②The summer festival だと当然、ある特定の(例えば、あなたの地元の)夏祭りのことを指します。それでも、減点はされないかもしれませんが、「日本では夏祭りというものがあってね…」という文脈だと思うので、もっと一般的な夏祭りを指して「festivals」にした方がいいと思います。それ以外だと一文目に文法的には特に間違いはないですが、なんか不自然に聞こえます。「夏祭りが催されるよ」ではなく、「日本の伝統的な祭りである夏祭りが催されるよ」くらいまで言ってあげた方がいいと思います。この状況では、相手は夏祭りを知らないという設定なので。例えば、同格のカンマを使って「Summer festival, Japanese traditional festival in summer, is held」とかの方がいいと思います。二文目に関しては問題ないと思います。基本的にミスなくよくかけてます。
