()の部分がas though節になるので、「皆んな敗戦後は反戦論者のようであると言う」という訳になり、ニュアンスが変わると思いました！(皆んながそう言っているみたいな)
after defeatがas thoughの中に入ってしまうと、意味が異なるならバツなんだと…正確なこと言えなくてすみません^^;
