①関係詞をとりあえず置いてみる
②後ろが完全不完全になるか確認し、意味が通るか調べる

です。

⇒This is the place where I often visit the place in my free time.
としてみると、the placeが重複して意味変。

・This is the place which I often visit in my free time.
としてみると、意味が通る。
＊関係代名詞を入れると後ろからSかOかCが抜ける
