分詞構文の主語は2枚目のようにOであるhumansになることは可能なのでしょうか？分詞構文の意味上の主語が省略されてるのでThisが主語だと思ったのですが、それだと内容が噛み合わなく、解答の訳でもhumansを主語にしているような訳でした。

making → 動詞

the selection of items to pack and send to customers → 目的語

much speedier → 補語

こう考えると、humansがよりスピーディーにしているのではなく、Thisの内容が
よりスピーディーにしていることが分かると思います。
ということで、makingの意味上の主語はhumansではなくthisです。
