這個文法要用to VR還是to have Vpp取決於這個動作是與前面的動作「同時發生」還是「更早發生」
題目中，the fruit是早就被吃掉的蘋果，所以我們會說The fruit he ate was an apple.（因為那個東西現在已經不存在了，所以我們不會用is），但是題目的主要子句是用is，所以was an apple就是更早發生的事情，放在不定詞後面就要改成have been。
