ちなみに、模試の過去問を学校で渡されたのをやってるのですが、分構造を見極められるようになるまでやる勉強方法で大丈夫ですか？

僕も塾には行っていないのですが、英文解釈の参考書で文構造を見極められるように演習しています。
文構造を見極めるのでも十分に実力はつきます。
模試の過去問であれば、文型の分析をして、余裕があれば訳すっていうのがいいと思います。
ただ時間の無駄にはならないようにねっていうことです。訳すのに時間を割いて、脳死でテンプレみたいな訳をするのは時間の無駄なのでやめましょう。だから訳は臨機応変にしていくことが大事です。
更に実力をつけたいのであれば、論理読解を意識してみると良いと思います。このパラグラフ(段落)は文章上の役割では具体例の役割だと考えたり、ここは主張だなあっていうふうに考えると長文読解の際にフワフワと読むのを防げます。
