asは下の例文のように先行詞の前にも後にも置くことができる。whichは後しかだめ。という感じだったと思います。
例）He proved to be innocent,as I had expected.
私が予想していたように彼は無実であることがわかった。
As is often the case with little children, Lucy was too selfish. 幼い子供にはよくあることだがルーシーはとても利己的だった。

この事実がわかりやすい、あるいは誰でもわかる場合、asとwhichどちらでも使える。
逆に、この事実は予測できない場合、whichのみ使える。
