書き出し、I want to know more about〜と書きたいのですが、aboutの後はvolunteer workとdoing volunteer workどちらが適切ですか？明日英検なので早めに回答いただけるととっても助かります....🥹！

Guess what! I started doing volunteer work at the dog shelter in
my town. At first, I wanted to help at the community center, but
the manager there said volunteers must be over 18. He suggested I
work at the dog shelter instead. I'm sending you some photos of
the dogs at the shelter. Volunteering at the shelter is interesting,
but now I'm very busy. I need to do many things to help dogs. Do
you think young people should do volunteer work?

Doingやjoining in volunteer work とすると、ボランティアの仕事をするということ、もしくは、参加するということについて、もっと知りたいとなります。
どちらでも、大丈夫だと思います
I want to learn more about volunteer work としても、良いかもしれないです

そうなのですね。英検の新形式は、よく知らなかったのですけど、それなら、doingありの方がいいですね。よく読まなくて、すみません！
