it 當主詞不會是指人，it當虛主詞是指一整件事
所以已以刪去法來說，會選they。
這題可能沒有出的很好，因為someone 確實是某人（單數）但這邊可以解釋為「某人的其中一個人=他們」有點類似圖片那樣
