赤のマーカーのところなのですが、Englishはイングランドとも訳すのでしょうか？

Japan's とJapaneseの違いと同じですね。
ニュアンスは違いますがどちらも「日本の」という意味です。

なので青マーカーのEngland's も赤マーカーのEnglishも「イングランドの」という意味です。

イングランド「の」船＝English ships

正確にはイングランドの船、フランスの船、バスクの船、スペインの船　という意味ですが、「の船」が繰り返しになるので、イングランド、フランス、バスク、スペインと国・地域名を並べて、最後にだけ「の船」をつけているのです。
