Reading Comprehension
Abhishek Verma is an Indian archer. a He has won many medals, including a
gold medal in the team category and a silver in the individual category at the
2014 Asian Games. He's a truly impressive athlete. But for Abhishek, archery
is more than a pastime, it's a lifestyle. He even practices at home! However,
since archery is an outdoor sport, he can't practice inside his home. Instead, he
has a target on the rooftop of his house.
In addition to playing the sport, Abhishek has more recently become an
archery coach. One great thing about Abhishek, which makes him an amazing
player as well as an excellent coach, is his cheerful and joyful attitude. b
Whether he's winning or losing, he's always impressed people with his
sportsmanship. He's very happy when he wins, and proud to contribute to the
collection of medals his country has, but he doesn't stop believing in himself
when he loses. c "Look, when I lose I try to learn from my mistakes and work
on them for future tournaments," he said in one interview. He goes on to talk
about how memorable it was to win at the Asian Games. d
Since Abhishek plays, coaches, and also works full-time, he hasn't got a lot of
time to spare. Presently, he's focusing all his energy on making it to the next
