act. Larry, a thirteen-year-old boy, was sent to the hospital after he was hit by a group
of teenagers in his city last week. Larry is shy. He doesn't talk a lot. He likes to wear

to the music. Maybe this is why he becomes the target. He said, “Like everyone, I

still some who don't like me. Maybe they think I am different from them.” Larry said
that he felt safe at school. However, he has had some trouble with some teenagers
from a different school. They became even more violent last week. Larry said, “They
threw something at me. The five people started to hit me, and I had no chance to run
away.” Larry had a broken nose and his legs hurt badly. He stayed in hospital for five
days. Larry's parents are scared. They don't want him to go anywhere on his own and
they even want to move to a different city. His mother said,“ Why can't everyone be
more friendly? That way we can have a better life.”
