英検2級のレベルがわからないのですがエッセイ見て気になったのでアドバイスさせていただきます。

ストラクチャーが余り良くないように感じます。パラグラフだけでなくパラグラフの中のパート分けまで意識してみてください。

そして、同じ表現が何回も出てきていますね。今回の場合はthe amount of foodです。同じ表現の連投を避けたいので出来る限りパラフレーズしましょう！例えばgood shortageやquantityを使って作れるはずです。同じ表現が目につくと評価は下がります。

また、時々ですけど読みにくい字があるため採点者が一目でわかるようにした方がいいと思います。自分も字が酷すぎてよく怒られていたので言うのは憚られますが…

ストラクチャーの改善点としてはテンプレートを使ってみてください。パートの分かれ目はキーワードとなる言葉(for example など)を見つけた時です。なのでテンプレ使えば余裕です。
また、パラフレーズは練習ですが同じ言い方のみならず否定形で話してみたりなど遠回しに説明するのもアリです。

そして、少し上級ですがdefinitely やcompletely など強い断定の修飾語はポイント高いです。積極的に入れてみてください。あとThereforeやThus、Howeverなど接続詞もポイント高いです。この二つを取り入れればwritingとか余裕です。

最後に参考になればと私がよく使うテンプレと他の人が同じ問題をしていたのでその時書いてみた私の回答を送ります。参考になれば幸いです。
