เพราะ Antibiotic เป็น secondary metabolites ที่ผลิตมาจากฟังไจ ใช้รักษาอาการติดเชื้อจากbacteria และFungi กับ bacteria ก็คนละspecies ตัวนึงเป็นprokaryotes ตัวนึงเป็น eukaryotes

อีกข้อเสนอนึงเลยก็คือ ส่วนใหญ่เจ้าตัวantibiotic มันจะเข้าไปยับยั้งการสร้าง cell wall ของแบคทีเรียอะพวก peptidoglycan ฉะนั้นฟังไจมันไม่มีโครงสร้างนี้ antibiotic เลยใช้ไม่ได้ผล
