no sooner than常用過去完成式配合
(1) I had no sooner come home than it began to rain.
(*先到家，但馬上就下起雨了)
(2) I had no sooner arrived there than he appeared.
(*我到了那裡後，他就到了)
as soon as 有過去式/過去完成式的用法:
(1) As soon as I saw her,I knew something was going wrong.
(我一看到她，就知道她不對勁了)
(2) As soon as the phone rang/had rung, he quickly ran to pick it up.
另外, as soon as 比較有“條件”的意味，也就是當未來某件事發生了，才會有接續的發展
(1) Let's move on as soon as he comes back. (等他一回來我們就繼續前進)
(2) He will go to the party as soon as he finishes his report.
