1.did助動詞後面加一般V，was是動詞，你翻譯中因為我猜你應該是覺得有兩個動詞所以才加ing，但句型沒有這種用法，你後面有個pay前面就要有did搭配。
2.because then不要出現在同一個句子還有一個句子不要拉太長，這是英文比較注重的，好比如你在寫國文作文，不要一直用逗點，要適時用句號斷句的感覺是一樣的。
