　　　（４）がhave →hadです
日本語を見た時に大過去、過去の区別の仕方が分かりません。

～かもしれなかった　はmight have Vpp です
したがってrunとmissの自制を合わせるためにmight have missedとなります

as if はまるで～だったかのようにという意味ですから文脈的にまるですでに会ったことがあるかのように、となるのでwelcoming receptionであったという過去の事実より前に起きたことということになるのでhad metとなります
