American military planes flew over
the Caribbean Sea on
a training mission
called Flight 19. It was a bright, sunny
day, and everything seemed normal as
usual. But later, the planes disappeared
and the pilots on the mission were never
seen again.
Flight 19 took place in an area known
as the Bermuda Triangle. For over 100
years, tales have been told of ships and
planes disappearing without a trace in
the region. Why does it keep happening
in this particular patch of ocean? Some
say it's the work of aliens. Others say it's
simply a coincidence. But now, we may
have the real answer.
Two Australian research scientists
say they have solved the mystery of
the Bermuda Triangle once and for all
According to them, the sea floor in the
Bermuda Triangle is rich in natural gas
reserves. This gas escapes from the sea
floor, and rises, expanding as it makes
its way up in the form of a bubble. This
is where ships and planes may run into
trouble.
The scientists ran tests in a lab using
a large water tank and ship models. They
found that when a gas bubble breaks
the surface of the water, it can be strong
