倍数表現についてです。
timesがつく時とつかない時の違いはなんですか？

・The Linear Express will be able to run about twice as fast as the Shinkansen.
・The planet is twenty times as big as the satellite.

timesがつかないのはtwiceとhalfの時のみです。
twiceにはもとから2倍と言う意味があるのでtimesは必要ないんです。
それ以外ではthree times, four times...とtimesがついていきます。
