Module 5: Effect of inhibitor on reaction rate

1. Cut the samples (potato, apple, or liver) into 1cm cubes
2. Prepare 2 test tubes, each containing 2ml of 3% H202
3. To each tube, add 3 drops of the solution and mix gently
a. tube 1, add lead nitrate
b. tube 2, add mercury nitrate
4. Add the cut samples into each tube and continue incubation
5. Observe the reaction rate by noticing the amount of bubbles
6. What hepped in each case? Why?
