appeal for ～　～を求めて訴えるというのはわかりましたが、appeal for an end to the violence で
暴力行為の停止を(求めて)訴えるになるらしいです。

なぜ appeal for名詞のあとにto名詞と続くのですか？

という意味ですから。また、appealed for の for はpreposition ですから、後ろには noun が来ますよ！
