Erno Rubik's version of Rubik's Cube won global recognition in the 1980s. The moment
it hit the market, there was a shortage of the puzzles. Soon after, lots of 1. or imitations
appeared. Though some of the new Cubes had from 25 squares per side 2. up to 121 ones,
the original is a small cube-like puzzle of six sides, each of which is divided into only 9 squares.
What appeals to fans in the game is that simply with a few 3. twists, one totally gets
lost ; however, players gain a great sense of achievement if they are able to solve the game
4. . Lovers, since its introduction, have celebrated the diverting invention by holding
thousands of competitions around the world. 5. , there have been more and more official
contests each year. Hopefully, the Rubik's Cube is also going to be welcomed in the following
decades.
