การอ่านแบบกวาดสายตา (scanning) เป็นวิธีการทาข้อมูล
เฉพาะ เช่น ตัวเลข วันที่ สถานที่ ชื่อคน เป็นต้น จะเป็นข้อมูล
ที่ปรากฏให้ผู้อ่านเห็นได้อย่างชัดเจนในบทอ่าน โดยถ้าในคำถาม
ถามถึงสถานที่ ก็ให้กวาดสายตาไล่ดูแต่คำที่หมายถึงสถานที่
ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นชื่อเฉพาะ ดังนั้น ต้องขึ้นต้นด้วยอักษรตัวใหญ่
