不定詞を使った構文
too~ to do…するには~すぎる/あまりに~なので…できない

形の上では肯定文だが否定の内容を表す。too と to doの間には形容詞や副詞が入る。
so~ that (=Focus 227) を使って,ほぼ同じ意味を表すことができる。 that 以下
は否定形 (can't) になる。

肯定の内容を表す。 enough は形容詞や副詞のではなく直後に置かれる。不定詞
の意味上の主語は不定詞の直前に置かれる。。
を表すことができ, that 以下は肯定形 (can)にる。
that を使って, ほぼ同じ意味
= He is so smart that he can slove the puzzle.
形容詞[副詞]によっては, 書きかえられない場合もある。
> You are old enough to take care of yourself.(君は十分自分の世話ができる年齢だ。)
× You are so old that you can take care of yourself.
enough not to do で「…しないほど~だ」という意味を表す
It is warm enough |not| to need a coat. (コートが必要ないほど暖かだ。)
