怎麼區分要用another other the other 哪個?

單純想指「別的」、「其他的」時，單數用 another，複數用 other，但有限定的對象時「剩下那個、剩下那些」，就一律要用 the other
We’re doing other research on this disease.
（我們正在對這項疾病做其他研究。）
In PE class, some boys like to play basketball. The other boys enjoy playing football.
（體育課的時候，有些男孩喜歡打籃球。其他男孩喜歡踢足球。）
We have another project coming up next month, so we'd better finish this one as soon as possible.
（下個月我們有另一項專案，所以我們最好盡快完成這一項。）
