until 直到...

這題不太好解釋，因為沒有一個比較明確單一的區分標準
有些情況明顯不同，應該用其中一個；有些情況又有點模糊。
這題的情況是一個習慣要用before的情境。

如果主要子句有題及到一段時間、或暗示動作持續了一陣時間的話，就習慣接before

It will not be long before he finds out. 在他發現之前，過不了多久。(過不了多久他就會發現)
It may take years/a while before the situation improves. 在情況改善之前，可能還要好久 (還要好久情況才會改善)
We had to walk for another 30 miles before we could find any shelter.
