英語の質問です。
worship some animal "god," such as a bear
クマのような何らかの動物を｢神」として崇める
この表現に就いてですが、なぜ"god,"の前にasがないのでしょうか？worshipは目的語を2つ取れないので、asではなくても、"god,"の前には何かしらの前置詞が必要だと思うのですが、、、
回答宜しくお願いします。

In English, sometimes two nouns are written together as one single unit.

(noun1 noun2) → noun
(child actor) [子役]
(man child) [幼い男]
(God Emperor) of Dune [沙丘神帝]
(animal god) → a god that resembles an animal, a god in the shape of a animal

zmicさんはworship <O> as <X>と言う形で使うとおっしゃっていますが、"worship some animal "god," such as a bear"では"god,"の前にasがありません。これはなぜでしょうか？zmicさんの指摘する様に、名詞の形容詞的用法だと言う考え方は思い付きませんでしたが、名詞の形容詞的用法だとしても、訳が「クマのような何らかの動物を｢神」として崇める」ではなく、「クマのような何らかの動物｢神」（どうぶつしん）を崇める」となり、若干異なりますよね、、、

"They worship some animal god, such as a bear." has the form: <S> worship <O> (such as <x>).

<O> = "animal god" = 動物神

"クマのような何らかの動物｢神」を崇める" is the exact translation.

I gave the other example (worship <O> as <X>) just for illustration. The meaning is indeed slightly different. Sorry if this confused you!
