as be動詞と as 動詞の使い分けの違いが分からないです。教えて頂けると嬉しいです。

Wanting a ticket (as) I(do), I will apply for one.
(本当にチケットが欲しいので、 1枚申し込んでおこう)

(こんなにうしろのほうに座っているので, 一言も聞こえない)
